Sandie Clough – Pilates Matwork Instructor
Sandie graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2008 with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is registered with the Health Professionals Council. Sandie works full time as a physiotherapist. She completed her matwork and class instructor Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) whilst gaining her Physiotherapy degree and has been teaching ever since. “Wow that’s 9 years, I hadn’t realised it was that long”, says Sandie! Sandie likes to make her pilates classes challenging yet achievable, helping to develop clients control, strength and balance. Pilates is all about using the right muscles for the right job to improve posture, alignment and function. Sandie has completed further Pilates training using all small equipment including the gym ball, ova ball, foam roller, theraband, magic circle and weights. Consequently each class is different, which helps to make classes innovative and fun. Sandie has also carried out Pilates training specifically for ante and post natal clients. Sandie thinks Pilates is great and should be done by everyone! It is hugely adaptable so can be modified to suite everybody, no matter what age, ability or fitness someone may have.
